The DJI Mavic Pro is a marvel of technology that records breathtaking 4K video that is worth buying a 4K screen to view. But it should not really be seen as a model aircraft. Rather it is a flying camera that can do some amazing things.

In the late 90's I built a Goldberg Ultimate with a OS 120 four stroke engine. It was a beautiful aircraft that I flew for many years. At the time, I decided to buy a second kit to hold in reserve in case something nasty happened to the original. Indeed, the original model was destroyed when a I caught a wing tip in the tops of a corn field while performing a low knife edge pass.

In an attempt to learn something about drone racing, I bought an Align MR25 race drone a little while ago, along with a Fatshark Dominator V3 FPV headset. This drone is a lot of fun, but not a serious competitor for drone racing.

Recognising my interest in model heli's, my wife bought me this electric T-Rex model in 2016. I have to say that the model is way more capable than I am and that I've not made much progress in setting it up and learning to flying it properly - I kind of got distracted by drones along the way.
